Added to the Drill Driver lineup is the Hitachi DS18DSAL. It is both compact and lightweight, weighing in at only 3.5 pounds and measuring 7.7 inches in length. That is the same weight as Makita's 1/2 inch Drill Driver BDF452HW, and packing the same amount of torque at 460 inch-pounds.

The Hitachi DS18DSAL 18 Volt Lithium-Ion Cordless Drill/Driver is packed with impressive power, while remaining a lightweight cordless tool. The unit includes (2) lithium-ion batteries, a quick charger and a five-position compack pro-flashlight (which uses the same lithium-ion batteries), a two sided phillips bit, all in a hard-shelled plastic case.

This Hitachi DS18DSAL drill is well-balanced, has two speed stages (0-350 RPM in low and 0-1500 RPM in high), and weighs in at only 3.3 pounds. This drill has impressive power in low gear, as well as an Ergonomically designed handle that has a comfortable grip.
