The Hitachi DH38YE2 allows the user to turn a knob that changes the mode of operation from hammer drilling to hammer only.  This allows the Hitachi DH38YE2 to handle a variety of cutting, digging, tamping or driving ground rod. This unit has a dust proof cover, sealed grease system and auto-stop brushes that insure high motor durability and minimal maintenance. A 360 degree side handle provides additional control. while the safety clutch shuts down rotation in the event of a bound bit.
